一、好的意义：「奋力，希望，使自己热心地努力」。

A. 带一件事作为受词τὶ（为）某事：ζ. τὰ χαρίσματα τὰ μείζονα切切的求那更大的恩赐，林前12:31 。τὸ προφητεύειν说预言，林前14:39 。τὰ πνευματικά属灵的（恩赐）林前14:1 （此处除直接受格外，ἵνα子句亦为ζ.之受词）。

B. 带一人格受词τινά，深切地关心某人求得某人的利益（箴23:17 24:1 ），加4:17 上，下；林后11:2 。

C. 独立用法：「彰显热心」；被动－ καλὸν ζηλοῦσθαι ἐν καλῷ πάντοτε 常常在善事上热心才是好的，⊙ 加4:18 。

二、坏的意义：「嫉妒」τινά某人（创26:14 30:1 ）τὸν Ἰωσήφ约瑟，徒7:9 （参创37:11 ）。独立用法：徒17:5 林前13:4 雅4:2 。*
